“God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.
”

I’ve been thinking about childhood a lot recently. These are images which truly take me back… I could get all excessively sentimental and dramatic on here.. but I think I’ll just leave it as: I’m so fucking thankful for how my siblings and I turned out. It’s amazing to think about how much every individual childhood experience dramatically changes adults. I’m so happy to finally be able to say I’m an adult, instead of feeling like one as a kid for so long… I miss this old house though.
drawplay asked: what did the water color say when it started turning opaque? oh my gouache! (also, I can't figure out who you are)
Shirley, you goose! You’re supposed to ask jokes not tell me them. Although I so appreciated that… and am going to use it constantly. You really can’t?? IT’S ME, EMMA!
Robert Rauschenberg, Factum I and II, with more appropriation from me. Having modernism flashbacks, and I recall being very inspired by these works, for I was doing something very similar at the time. Goes to show that nothing new is under the sun in the art world…
